Good Morning everyone and Happy Saturday! It's me Jo, sharing my card using Paper Doll Marci Winter from La-La Land Crafts. I used her in my 7 Kids Challenge card and again today.

The sentiment "Happy Winter" and the snowflakes are from the stamp set. Marci is colored with my Copics. Using the Blender Marker, I created the polka dot pattern on the hat and sweater, Love!

Fall Flutters by Penny Black

Hello my stamping friends! I hope all of you will get to spend this Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends.  I love Thanksgiving for that reason! And to celebrate one of my favorite holidays, I made this card.

I made these leaves with a new stamp set from Penny Black called Fall Flutters. The leaves of this set are perfect for the technique I wanted to use. It is a combo of rolling the stamp into different colors of Distress Inks and then lightly misting them with water. Then stamp onto your paper and hold for a few seconds. Lift straight up. When the image dries, you will get this gorgeous watercolor effect. After I stamped several leaves, I fussy cut them out. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink and heat embossed with a bronze embossing powder.

My Thanksgiving wish to you, is to have a blessed day with your loved ones!

And thanks for stopping by!

Paper Doll Marci Winter

Good morning! Jo here sharing my project for the NEW challenge over at the 7 Kids Challenge Blog! The challenge is "Anything Goes - with an Optional Twist (FALL Colors)".

I recently aquired La-La Land Crafts Paper Doll Marci Winter and I immediately had to use her. She is colored with my Copics and used some shimmer chalk for her cheeks. For her freckles, just a white gel pen to draw on the dots. I decorated her sweater with a birdy from Lawn Fawn Chit Chat. She's so versatile, you can use her for any ocassion.

The designer papers are from Simple Stories Cozy Christmas & DIY Christmas. For a more rustic look, I had cut some burlap into a fishtail banner and adhered that to the card. Instead of using rhinestones or brads, I used these wooden "enamel" dots that my friend had gifted me.The image is layed on top of a doily cut from the designer paper.

The FALL colors that I chose were brown, olive green and orange. I used flowers from my stash and also an orange flower from Magnolia Vintage Tinsel Dahlias. For the leaves, I used the La-La Land Crafts Open Leaf Flourish Die. Since I didn't have any olive cs on hand, I used my Copic marker YG97 to color white cs and cut the die from that. Lastly for the shimmer, I used the Winlk of Stella Clear pen.

Christmas is just around the corner, but it's still FALL. Loved this challenge.

Filigree Foliage by Penny Black

Hello stamping friends! It's time for another ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE at 7KIDS tomorrow!!!!  And our optional theme is Fall Colors.

I decided to use a new Penny Black stamp called Filigree Foliage and make a Thanksgiving card.

Don't you just love that pumpkin in the middle? I saw Mona Pendleton make one of these on her blog and I just loved it! You die cut 3 ovals and paint, ink or stain them to your liking. I used Vintage Photo and Dried Marigold Distress inks to get the pumpkin color. I then painted the ovals with crackle paint and let it dry. Hopefully you can see this in the photo. I then adhere the oval die cuts together in the shape of a pumpkin!
Next, I used the Filigree Foliage stamps and stamped the beautiful leaves onto white watercolor paper with Black Archival Ink. I then painted them with lots of water and watercolors. I coated the leaves with Glossy Accents and set aside to dry.
Next I die cut some different leaves and inked them with Peeled Paint Distress inks and painted with crackle paint.  After everything had dried I assembled my card!

I hope you will join our new Challenge!!!
YOu could win a $25 gift certificate form the 7KIDS store!!!

Thanks for stopping by!
