Shopping Marci

Good morning!  It's Anita here today sharing a card I made for our new challenge over on the 7KCF Challenge Blog.

I used Shopping Marci from La-La Land Crafts.  I colored the image with copics and paper-pieced the shopping bags.  I also added some of the new Mixed Sequins for some sparkle.

The challenge theme is anything goes with an optional twist of "get wordy" (add a sentiment).  You have two weeks to enter, so I hope you play along with us.  Just remember in order to qualify for the Top 3 and the gift certificate you must use a stamp carried in the 7KCF Store.

Fancy Butterflies by My Favorite Things

Hope you are having a terrific Tuesday!!!
It is my turn to host the 7Kids Store blog today, so I thought I would share a card that I made using a resist technique with embossing and Distress inks.

I started this card by using the Doily (Tim Holtz) stencil. I spread a thin layer of transparent embossing paste on the stencil and let it dry thoroughly. I then softly inked it with Picked RaspberryMustard Seed, and Worn Lipstick Ranger Distress inks with my Mini Blending Tool. The embossed areas resist the distress ink.  Very cool!
On another piece of Neenah white card stock, I used the same stencil, but only used Picked Raspberry distress ink. I cut the butterflies out of this paper, using the Fancy Butterflies (My Favorite Things). Then I inked the edges some more with the Picked Raspberry Distress ink.
Next, I made some flowers with the Tattered Flower Garden (Tim Holtz) die. I used white card stock for these flowers and colored them with the Distress inks.
I made the banner, stamped the sentiment and added some buttons to complete the card!

Now don't forget to join our new Anything Goes Challenge starting tomorrow!

Thanks for stopping by!

I {Heart} Mermaids - Pisces Tilda

Good Morning everyone, Jo here! It's Saturday...again and it's my turn on the 7 Kids Store Blog. Here's my card using Magnolia's Pisces Tilda. I love mermaids, and I just had to add her to my collection. She looks so cute just chillin' on her lilypad.

I colored her with my Copics but didn't have the right pink in my collection. So as an alternative, I used the pinks from the BIC Mark-It Permanent Markers 24 Assorted Mix. They blended beautifully. For the water, I used some green and blue shimmer chalks. Using Liquid Pearls in White Opal, I gave her a pearl headband. With a few taps on the back of the card while the pearls are wet, it flattens the peaks of the liquid.

The flower is from Petaloo Burlap Blossoms - Pistachio. It went well with the beachy theme. I pulled the silver sequins from the Sulyn Assorted Sequins Mix. I think the bling went well with the pearls and shells. I also added a string of pearls from an old necklace along with cheese cloth in the background.

This is my crafty share for you today, please take some time to join us at the 7 Kids Challenge Blog.

Life is Good by Lawn Fawn

Hello my crafty friends! Happy Tuesday!!!
I am leaving for vacation today. Whoo! Hoo!
And that is why I chose this stamp set because we are going to the beach and
I can't wait!!!!!

The cute stamp set is called Life is Good by Lawn Fawn.
I stamped the adorable images with Black Memento Ink and colored them with Copic Markers.
As you can see, this is a shaker card. I just love these. They are just so fun!

For inspiration, I followed the current RetroSketch # 124:

Hope you liked my little beach scene.
Now I am off to put my toes in the sand.....

Thanks for stopping by!

DoCrafts Simply Gorjuss The Pretend Friend

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! It's Rosie here to share the details on the card I made for the current "Anything Goes" challenge on the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog.

My card showcases this gorgeous stamp from DoCrafts called Simply Gorjuss The Pretend Friend. I love this entire line of stamps!! The Gorjuss Girl line is seriously one of my top faves!! She's stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto X-Press It Blending Card, and colored with Copics.

 Copics:

Skin: E000, E00, E01, E02, E13
Hair: E44, E47, E49
Pink: R81, R83, R85, R59
Black: C5, C7, Black, Colorless Blender
Toy: E33, E35, N0, C5, C7

I sprinkled Stampendous Shabby Pink Embossing Enamel all around the edge of my image and usted my toaster to heat emboss it. Using the toaster is my trick to keep the powder in place and not move all over my image (I'm not coordinated enough to hold the heat gun under the image while holding the paper with one hand!). My gorgeous dps are from Wild Rose Studio Icing on the Cake 6x6 Paper Pad. The Happy Birthday banner is a die from Memory Box. I also added die-cut feathers from Spellbinders.

Supply List from the 7 Kids College Fund Store:

DoCrafts Simply Gorjuss The Pretend Friend
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Wild Rose Studio ICING ON THE CAKE 6x6 Paper Pad
Scor-Tape

We hope to see you playing along with us over the next 2 weeks. Remember to be eligible for the gift certificate and the Top 3, you must use a stamp carried in the 7 Kids College Fund Store. This challenge ends on July 29th at 12:00 noon MST. :)

Have a great week!

Sunny

Hi everyone, Jo here sharing my card for the new challenge at the  7Kids Challenge Blog.

I used Hula Hula Tilda, Dies from Echo Park and Sequins! Tilda is colored with Copics and accented with Wink of Stella Clear. She's a little pale to be a hula girl, but give her time =)

The "Sunny", sun and cloud are all from the Echo Park - Sun & Cloud Dies set. On the cloud I used a polka dot embossing folder for some dimension. These dies cut like buttah! I had to add sequins for a lil' sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by. Make sure to check out the current challenge over at the 7Kids Challenge Blog.

Have a beautiful weekend!
Jo
