Wild Flowers and Butterflies from Crafty Individuals

Happy Wednesday, everyone! It's Karen here to share my card for the new 7 Kids Challenge that begins today! The theme is Anything Goes, so feel free to share whatever you're working on! Be sure to use products carried by 7 Kids to be eligible to win a generous gift certificate to the store. :o)

For my contribution this week, I created a shaped card using beautiful Spellbinders dies.
My base was created with the Gold Labels 4 set. It's such a pretty shape! To create my popped-up frame for the front, I simply cut into an extra Gold Labels 4 layer with the coordinating Nestabilities Labels 4. The embossed areas of the frame are inked with Tim Holtz Faded Jeans distress ink.

The focal point is a lovely stamp from Crafty Individuals, titled Wild Flowers and Butterflies. To create a twilight setting for it, I blended three shades of distress ink, beginning with the lightest: Tumbled Glass, Broken China, and Faded Jeans. Tiny rhinestones serve as sparkly paths for the butterflies and also adorn the frame. :o)

You have two weeks to play along with us, so I hope you'll join the fun at the 7 Kids Challenge Blog! Have a beautiful and blessed day! :o)

Over at our 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog we are nearing the end of our current challenge.  The prize is a gift certificate to the 7 Kids College Fund Store  so I hope you make something and enter it soon!  Just to remind you to use items available in the 7 Kids College Fund Store to win the prize.  See you over there!

Just For You with Wild Rose Studio

Happy Wednesday, everyone! It's Karen here to share a card I made for a lovely child. :o)

Wild Rose Studio has such adorable images and beautiful papers, and I'm featuring one from each category today! Their Bunny with Cake stamp pairs so sweetly with the Butterfly Glade paper collection.
For an extra touch of love, I used the Precious Hearts metal dies from Memory Box and centered each with a heart rhinestone.

Due to the colors and patterns, it's a little hard to see one of the newest Memory Box releases. Here's a closer picture of the appropriately named Adorable Posies, which I used to surround my sentiment... and a look at the fluffy bunny tail, courtesy of Polar White Flower Soft.

Timeless by My Favorite Things

Happy Tuesday! It is Mackie here to share a card I made last week during the big snowstorm!  I'm here in the South, and we don't have snow, much less 12 inches! Whew! gave me lots of time in my craft room!

Gold is very on trend right now, so I decided to use gold embossing for the clock and the sentiment!
I used Versamark Ink  and stamped the clock and clock hands from the MPD Timeless (MFT) stamp set onto vellum paper. Then I added the gold embossing powder. I then cut the clock out with a Large Standard Circles (Spellbinders) die.
The flower was made using the Prima Donna Petals (MFT) die. I added an enamel dot for the center of the flower.  All of the beautiful papers are from the Etcetera (Fancy Pants) 6X6 paper pad. I had lots of fun with this beautiful sketch!

Most of the supplies that I used for this card are available at the 7Kids Store! Please check out our store for all of your stamping needs! Also join our Anything Goes Challenge!  You just might win a gift certificate!
And we just love seeing your creations!

Cowgirl Love with Kaydance from Elisabeth Bell

Hello and welcome to the 7 Kids College Fund Store blog where you will find some great deals and announcements for the new CHA 2014 releases.  I made a card using Kaydance from Elisabeth Bell for Whimsy Stamps.  She is colored in Copics and then I distressed around her in Bundled Sage Distressed Ink Pad.  I used a stamp and versa mark ink to get the frontage to stick to her background. Embellishing this card was fun.  Everything I used on the card from the store is listed below.

Valentine's Tag Featuring Graphic 45's Sweet Sentiments

Happy Wednesday, everyone! It's Karen here to start a new challenge at the 7 Kids Challenge Blog! The theme is Anything Goes, so join in with whatever your heart desires! Be sure to use products carried by 7 Kids to be entered to win a generous gift certificate to the store! :o)

For this challenge, I decided to create something different for me... a tag! It's a beautiful avenue to showcase lovely paper, such as Graphic 45's Sweet Sentiments.
I think it's important in a crafty journey to step outside of your comfort zone sometimes, and this was the case for me! I adore tags but struggle with them. I drew inspiration from the paper pad itself, with the sweet designs and gorgeous postage stamps guiding me.

I used both sides of a whimsically elegant paper from the collection to create a 3D heart, being careful to let two butterflies show from the front. For the arrow, I used the versatile Marianne Design Anja's Vintage Ornaments 2 metal die set. I've used this die for hinges, tabs, and now an elegant arrow. It is sponged with Victorian Velvet distress ink and adorned with pearls.

A tiny bit closer peek, where the softer hues are much more accurate:

You have two weeks to play along with us, so I hope you'll share your creations at the Challenge Blog! We love visiting you! Have a blessed and sparkly day. :o)

Typography by Graphic 45

I knew right away what I wanted to do on this tag when I looked through my Typography (Graphic 45) 8x8 paper pad. One of the pages is full of several different images and sentiments.

I picked this one because I just loved what it said...Keep your face to the sunshine! Isn't that a great quote to live by??? So I cut it out, distressed and inked the edges,  and then made it the focal point of my tag.
I took a piece of a cardboard box, tore it, gessoed it, and then colored it with some Faber-Castell Gelato crayons. I love Gelatos, because of their colors and all the different techniques you can use with them.
I used embossing paste and stenciled the background of the tag. I used the Graduated Diamonds (MFT) and the Fleur de Lis (MFT) stencils. After the paste dried, I colored the raised areas with the gelato crayons mixed with water! Pretty cool, huh?
I added some gears, flowers, die cut leaves, lace and ribbon to complete the look.

I hope you will join us with our new Anything Goes Challenge starting tomorrow!!
You may be chosen as one of the Top Three and if you use an image from the 7Kids store, you will be eligible to win a gift certificate to the 7Kids store!

Items that are available in the 7Kids College Fund Store are listed below:
