Dance with Joy by Rosie!

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! It's Rosie here to share the card I created for the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog. In case you don't know, ALL challenges throughout the rest of the year will be ANYTHING GOES! But we are alternating our "optional" TWIST between Markers and Vintage. Be sure to use a stamp carried in the 7 Kids Store to qualify for the gift certificate and top 3!

The challenge this time around is:

ANYTHING GOES with an "optional" twist of Markers!

Now remember the challenge is "Anything Goes" so we should see a lot of you participating. And if you want to add the optional twist then grab your favorite markers and get to coloring! :)
Today I'm using a new favorite of mine: Kraftin' Kimmie Dance for Joy by Rachelle Anne Miller. I just love the whimsical nature of Rachelle Anne Miller's illustrations and was so excited when she started designing rubber stamps! I've got several from this collection, but this particular image just spoke to me. It reminds me to be joyful even in those sad or stressful situations. Sometimes it's hard to remember that life is full of many more reasons to dance for joy, instead of sitting around being unhappy! :)
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E02, E11
Hair: E43, E44, E47
Pink: R81, R83, R85
Blue: BG10, BG13, BG15
Shoes: C3, C5
Butterfly: V12, V15, V17, R83, BG10, BG13
I used some dps from Echo Park EVERYDAY ECLECTIC 6x6 paper pad. The edges around the image got a sprinkle of Stampendous Shabby Pink Embossing Enamel.
Here's a list of supplies from the 7 Kids Store:

This challenge ends on October 8th so I hope to see you all entering your cards at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog!
Have a great rest of the week!

Make a Wish by Christine

Hi everyone and Happy Sunday! :)  The new challenge is up today over at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog.  Our challenge this go around is anything goes with an optional twist to use alcohol markers on your project.  Here's my card:

How cute is this image?!?!  This image is called Wendy's Birthday Cake by CandiBean (Little Darlings Rubber Stamps).  Isn't she adorable?  She was so much fun to color.  I inked the image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and stamped it onto Copic Xpress Blending Card.  I of course colored her with Copic Markers.  Here are the colors I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Pinks: RV000, R81, R83, R85
Cake frosting: E41, E42, E43, E44, E47
Blues: BV000, BV01, BV05, BV09
Shoes: E41, E42, E43, E44
Crown and Candles: Y35, Y38, E18

Next I created my card.  The die cuts were made using a Memory Box die (Tab will be getting Memory Box Dies in the store soon so check back soon!).  I added a ribbon and roses for some finishing touches (I always use Scor Tape to adhere by bows and flowers, it works like a charm every time).  Here are a few more pictures:

What do you think?  Well, that's it from me today.  Thanks so much as always for stopping by and make sure to stop by 7 Kids College Fund for all your crafting needs :)

Hugs, Christine

My Favorite Things & Graphic 45 sale! And final clearance!

I just received an e-mail from MFT letting me know that they require retailers to charge list price on all their products. So, unfortunately, I had to change my pricing on this line to fall in line with the price controls. I am thinking about whether or not to drop the line altogether or keep it in the store. But, while I decide, I am offering 20% off all MFT products. If you have any thoughts on this line, I would love to hear them! E-MAIL ME your thoughts!

Three new Graphic 45 designs are in the store now, including an AWESOME Christmas pad. Save now on these new releases and all other Graphic 45 products!

This is a representative image of an item currently in clearance. This particular item may or may not be available by the time you visit.

All products will be removed from the store on Friday, so don't miss out on these practically free products!!! In fact, at 90%, most items disappear quickly, so there may not be any items in clearance when you receive this e-mail. If the category is empty, everything is sold.

I will be clearancing new product in the near future, so stay tuned to the newsletter for the next round!

You're My Cup of Tea

 Happy Saturday!

Do you have some exciting plans for the weekend? Well thanks for visiting 7 Kids College Fund Store. You will find lots of inspiration from the DT; their creations are fabulous!

Today I would like to share another tag. I am addicted to the Prima Doll Stamps. I did not use a lot of embellishments for my tag. Instead I used my paper and stencils to give my tag a personality. I used Frantage for the tea cup  arrangement. And those tiny buttons on her blouse are liquid pearls.
For my doll I used paper except I did color her hair with Copic. I definitely need 1 hmmm maybe 2 more of these lovely doll stamps.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Karen

Penny Black - Butterfly Tag by Rhea

I wanted to share some of my favorite colors.  I put them all together on a tag with a little of this and a little of that and a big butterfly from Penny Black.  There are a few techniques I wanted to share....

  1. The background is spritzed with Copic refill inks.  To make these I used a small spritz bottle filled with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol then added the Copic color.  I used B39, V09 and G99.  Once it was dry I used a piece of tapestry spritzed in 99% Isopropyl Alcohol and textured the background.
  2. With a finger dauber I then put a little VersaMark here and there on the background.  Sprinkle a little Aged Ivory Embossing Powder and heat set.
  3. The flowers were made with Spellbinders Rose Creations dies from book pages.  After die cutting I spritzed with the same copic spritz and let dry.  I then sprayed with fabric stiff and dusted with crystal micro glitter.  When they were dry I then put them together and shaped them into flowers.
  4. The leaves are made from May Arts Ribbon.  Using double sided sookwang tape, peel back one side of tape place on card stock.  Peel back other side and place ribbon making sure there are no air bubbles.  Die cut and shape.
  5. The ribbon at the top of the tag is also from May Arts and has been heated to wrinkle.  This helps give it the worn or vintage look.  Be carful not to burn your ribbon.

Hope you enjoy the different techniques in todays design.  Give some of them a try....they are loads of fun :)
