Don't be afraid to DREAM big!

Happy Monday everyone! It's Rosie here and I'm so glad you joined me today as I share my newest card using some newly release CHA items that are on pre-order in the 7 Kids College Fund Store!

Before I get to my card I just wanted to remind you that you still have 1 more day to enter our Anything Goes Challenge with a Vintage twist on our 7 Kids Challenge Blog HERE. Be sure to use a stamp carried in the store to qualify for the gift certificate and top 3!

For my card today I used a super cute The Greeting Farm stamp called CHARLOTTE CHIC! I think she's super versatile and a great addition to your stamp collection. She's also easy and fun to color! I stamped her on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her with Copics. I even made the flowers on her headwrap and shirt (that's not paper-piecing folks). :)

Skin: E000, E00, E01, E02, E11
Hair: E44, E47, E49
Head Wrap/Shirt: YR02, YR07, B05
Skirt: YR02, YR04, YR07
Shoes: B00, B04

I'm loving the Carta Bella line of papers and today I used Carta Bella Beach Boardwalk 6x6 paper pad. Right behind Charlotte Chic is a Bo Bunny Small Doily. The new items from CHA that I used on my card (currently on pre-order in the store) are some La-La Land Crafts Dies: Decorative Corners and Pretty Poinsettia (the leaves behind the flowers).

Thanks for joining me today! I hope you have a great week!

Hugs,
Rosie :)

Watercolor With Gelatos

Happy summer day to everyone!!
Today I watercolored onto a tag with gelatos.  It was very easy and fun to do.

Here is my tag

I made my tag with water color paper and the Tim Holtz alterations tag die.  I smeared gelatos onto a plastic sheet, wet the colors and applied them with a brush to my water color paper. Using Tim Holtz's  Urban Chic stamp and a Versamark ink pad I stamped my images. Then I poured on black embossing powder and heated it with my heat tool to get the glossy hard finish.  I went over the bird and vine area again with more wet gelatos.  On the edges I stamped Prima's Lyric stamp with Versamark and sprinkled shabby green embossing powder onto it and heated it from underneath with my heat tool.
At the top of the tag I used seam binding ribbons and also a key charm that I embossed with aged rose embossing powder.  I hope you enjoyed my tag and feel inspired to try water coloring with gelatos.

Have a great day!
Kelly

Cowboy Luka from Rosie!

Happy Monday everyone!! It's Rosie here to share you more details on the card I made for the recent challenge over at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog, which is Anything Goes + Vintage.

Just remember, to qualify for the $20 gift certificate you have to use a stamp carried in the store!

For my card today I used La-La Land Crafts COWBOY LUKA. Now that I'm in Texas I had to get both the Cowboy and Cowgirl stamps....YEE HAW! I just like saying it, haha! I stamped him on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored him with COPICS!

 Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E02, E11
Hair: E44, E47, E49
Hat/Shirt/Rope: E41, E42, E43, E44
Horse: E43, E44, E47, B000, B00
Short: C3, B00, E47, E41
Hat Trip/Bandana: C3, E43, B00

I have a hard time with vintage....just not really my style because I like bright colors. I was told to distress all the papers and use light colors and that would help towards the vintage look. I hope with all the browns and light blue it's vintage enough. :)

Love

Hi everyone and Happy Sunday!  I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend :)  The new challenge is up over at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog.  Our challenge this go around is anything goes with a vintage twist.  This definitely got me out of my comfort zone.  I've never really done "vintage" before but I had SO much fun with this challenge.  Here is my card:

I LOVE this image.  This is the Saturated Canary Charmings Rubber Stamp and oh she was a dream to color, so much fun.  I inked her up with Memento Tuexdo Black Ink and stamped her onto XPress It Blending Card.  I of course colored her with my Copic markers.  Here are the colors I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20
Hair: E21, E25, E29
Dress - Pinks: RV000, R81, R83, R85
Dress - Blues: B91, B93, B95, B97, B99
Dress - Corset: E42, E43, E44, E47
Flowers in hair: RV000, R81, R83, R85, R89, Y35, Y38, E18

I used MME Blush DP for my design paper.  I distressed it using my scissors and then used my Tim Holtz Blending Tool and SU Chocolate Chip ink to add some inking around my image and all my DPs.  I added some lace (which I also inked using my Tim Holtz Blending Tool ).  The embellishment in the middle of the bow is from Michael's.  The swirly embellishments were made using a Memory Box die (Tab will be carrying these in the store soon).   Here are a few more views:

What do you think?  Well, that's it from me today.  Have a wonderful day and thanks so much again for stopping by.  Make sure to stop by the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog and join us in the challenge.  Big hugs!

Vintage Canvas

Welcome!

I am glad you stopped by. I want to share my canvas that I created for the 7 Kids College Challenge this week - Vintage.  I hope you will join us.

You can purchase the items below at 7 Kids College Fund
Carta Bella Paper - Paris
Archival Ink - Black and Coffee
Tim Holtz Ink Applicator
Accoutrements Buttons from Tim Holtz Idea-ology
Springtime Twinkling H2o's

Here is a closer view of my canvas:

Here is how I created my flower:
I cut my flower pattern out of old lace. After it was cut I used the Twinkling H20's and Viva Silk Acrylic paint. The petals were colored first with the Twinkling H20's for the final touch I used the Silk paint to give the dark shadowing on the tips of the flower. After it was colored and each petal was dried I painted the with Claudine Hellmuth Studio Multi-Media Matte. Let flower dry completely. Then put the flower together around a 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" circle. Choose a center for your flower and you are done.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous week.

Vintage Canvas

Hello everyone, I am so excited to be one of the newest design team members for 7 Kids College Fund and this is my first post with them.

We have a new challenge at 7 Kids Challenge Blog beginning this week!! The Challenge is Anything Goes with a twist of Vintage. One of my favorite themes Vintage!

Here is the Vintage Canvas I made for this challenge

I love making canvases as they are great for a gift and look fabulous as art piece in my home.  I chose to work with Prima's Mixed Media doll with Pockets.  Randomly tear a variety of papers and modge podge them onto the canvas.  Next, I age them with Gelatos and Distressed Ink by rubbing the paper edges to blend them together. My Prima Doll was stamped several times so I could paper piece her dress together and then I added some tulle and tissue tape.  After arranging all the embellishments, I used Glossy Accents to glue them on. This was fun and easy to do.  I made a tutorial right here on my blog for  this canvas if you would like to see it.

Here is the list of the products I used on my canvas from 7 Kids College Fund Store.

I hope you enjoyed my canvas and will make something Vintage to enter in the current challenge at 7 Kids Challenge Blog.  Remember to link your creation to the 7 Kids Challenge  and use at least one item from found in the 7 Kids College Fund Store to be eligible to win the fabulous prize offered this week.

Have a great day!!

Sent With Love

Hello,
Time to start our new challenge over at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog.  "Anything Goes with a Twist of Vintage."  But wait!  This challenge can also include funky, shabby chick, distressed and altered.  We still need to follow the challenge rules making sure any images are carried over at 7 Kids College Fund Store.  Tab also carries a large range of trinkets to add to your vintage projects!!!
I chose Sent with Love from the Penny Black the image it's self has such a nice vintage feel to it.  I colored the background with my copic markers in the E40's to give it a sepia tone feel.  Then I did a lot of texturing with blending solution and a rag.  I did add BV23 to tie in the colors of the flowers.  I was very pleased with how it turned out. We hope to see you join us over at the challenge.  Jump on over and check it out at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog.

I've also added a little fun project with resin
