Papillion Butterflies By Shannon White

Hi All! Shannon Here to share the card set I created for the Anything with Wings Challenge over at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog! Woot Woot!! 8-) Hope you will come join in the fun! Just whip up a fabulous Winged creation, Make sure to use Stamps found in the 7 Kids College Fund Store & head right on over to the 7 Kids Challenge Blog to link it up for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to the store!...8-)
For my Project, I thought I'd create a Fun CAS card set... 8-) I stamped my Papillion Stampers Anonymous  BG onto some Beautiful dp's from Mellissa Frances' Attic Treasures 6x6 collection with Memento Rich Coco & added shading with Tumbled Glass, Dusty Concord & Victorian Velvet Distress inks
I matted them up with various coordinating CS's from my stash and popped them up with foam tape. My Papillion Butterflies were created the same way with the addition of shading from my trusty Copics, some fussy cutting & then adhered them onto my BG.
To finish them all up I added my sentiments and a bit of scored detail with my Scor-Pal... Pretty easy peasy, huh?... 8-)

Here are the items I used for my project today & you can find them at the

Hope you all have a Super day & Thanks so much for dropping by! 8-)

Pretty Little Pixie by Kim O'Connell

Kim O'Connell checkin' in to share a card with you today!

We've got a new challenge for you to tackle on the 7 Kids College Fund challenge blog.
The theme is "Things with Wings."  The inspiration is a pigeon named "Kevin."
Don't ask. Just leave that one alone.

I played along with one of the image from the Pretty Little Pixies stamp set by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

I paper pieced her hair bow and shirt.  I added some shading with a charcoal pencil and blended with a blending stump.  Here are the copics I used to color her up:

skin - E11, E21, E00, E000, R20, R30
hair - E47, E37, E35, E53
pants - E49, E47, E44, E43, E41
teddy bear - E37, E35,E34,E33,E31,C9

Ready to play along?  Head on over the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge blog to link up your creation.

There are only 2 rules to follow to be eligible for the $20 gift certificate to the store:

Sew easy, stamper and ribbon CLEARANCE

All Sew Easy, Sew Ribbon and Sew Stamper products are being clearanced out of the store. Clearance starts on 20% off and will increase over the next few weeks. Order now for best selection!

This is a good time to point out that I have just added a new category to the store called Retired & Discontinued. The subcategories are By Manufacturer and By 7 KIDS. If a product is in the By Manufacturer category, this means that the vendor has discontinued the product or I am unable to purchase the item from any of my distributors. When a product ends up in this category and it is something you like and want, I would recommend picking it up. If it is in the By 7 KIDS category, it means that I am no longer carrying the item, not necessarily that you won't ever be able to buy it elsewhere.
Good through 4/4/13

A little birdie told me...

Hello Happy Crafters! It's that time again!! It's all about Kevin, who is the 7 Kids College Fund mascot - so the challenge is  "Things With Wings" which can be birds, butterflies, angels, you get the point!  How did Kevin, a wild pigeon become our mascot?  Well, one day he was in front of 7 Kids store when Tab, the owner noticed he had trouble walking.  Kevin allowed Tab  to not only  look at his foot, but let her cut away hair, string and other debris which was constricting the blood flow to his toes.   Since that day, Kevin visits Tab on a regular basis and waddles into her store to say hi and take food.  Wouldn't it be nice if everyone was this caring about.

I created my card using  "A little bird told me" from Crafter's Companion - I love, love this stamp set. So many things a little birdie could tell you!.  The sentiment, birds, girl are all part of the set....awesome!  Come play with us and have a chance to win a $20.00 gift certificate just for playing - to be eligible you need to use a 7 Kids College Fund have two weeks to order this cutiand make your own card.

It's time for another challenge at
Are you ready to play along with us?  Our challenge is...
Anything With Wings

Happy Wednesday!  We are kicking off our new fun filled and easy challenge and we hope you play along!  You can win a $20 gift certificate to the 7 Kids College Fund store.  There are a few simple rules so be sure to visit the challenge blog to check them out.

For today's inspiration I used some new products that just arrived!!!!  New Spellbinder Dies (they are showing as preorder in the store, but they are in!) , Stamps by DoCrafts and DIES by DoCrafts!!!  You have to see these!  I just love the DoCraft dies and they are cheap!

I really only had the image as I started with no idea or a plan.  All I knew was I loved the stamp.  The image is actually airbrushed with copic coloring done, just airbrushed.  Took me about 5 minutes.  I did texture the background with copic blending solution and a piece of burlap.  You can kind of see the white dots in the background. The flower was made with the DoCraft Die with lots of layers and the background with Spellbinders Curved Boarders.  Finally a little Pearl Pen to make the pearls and that's about it.

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you play along in our challenge.  You can visit my blog for some more inspiration too at  See you next Wednesday! - Rhea

Here is a list of my preferred products and the products I used :)  Enjoy your shopping!!!!
